C&S Wholesale Grocers to acquire Edsung Foodservice Co.
C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Hawaiian Housewares Ltd. has signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire the operations of Edsung Foodservice Co., located in Honolulu.
The sale is expected to close in April, at which point the Edsung business will be consolidated into the Hansen Distribution Group, a division of C&S, providing operational efficiencies, increased purchasing power and product breadth, and opportunities for continued growth.

The Kroger Co. announced the promotion of Michael Marx, currently vice president of people operations for Kroger, to serve as president of Roundy's Supermarkets, Wisconsin, effective April 1. The company also announced the promotion of Don Rosanova, currently executive vice president of operations for Roundy's, to president of Mariano's, effective immediately.
