Although the business transaction was considered a merger, both companies are continuing to promote their respective marketplace brands. Both companies enjoyed a prominent presence on Florida’s landscape for the growing and distribution of avocados and other tropicals.
Fresh King was one of Florida’s larger avocado packinghouses, and the acquisition included both facilities and growing acreage.
Commodities moved include longans, starfruit, lychee and guava.
