A random sample of Wegmans Cleaned & Cut Kale has tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.
The sample of Wegmans Cleaned & Cut Kale, a 16-ounce bag (UPC# 77890 26045) — which is also used as an ingredient in a variety of recipes offered on Wegmans hot and cold bars and other prepared foods — was taken from one store on Aug. 3, and the Food & Drug Administration notified Wegmans of the test result on Sept. 14.
