Red Sun Farms entered the greenhouse organics category when it cut the ribbon at its Dublin, VA, facility in late 2014.
Today, the company, a major grower and distributor of high-quality greenhouse vegetables, is growing organics at all of its facilities, which includes its facilities in Mexico and its headquarters in Kingsville, Ontario.
Passion for Produce brings 15 into mentorship at CPMA Convention
Since 2010 the Canadian Produce Marketing Association has provided a unique opportunity to “rising stars” of the produce industry at the yearly CPMA convention by affording them a focused mentoring program designed to accelerate their professional development.
Calgary, site of the 91st Annual CPMA Convention and Trade Show, will welcome 15 PFP candidates to its April event.
“It’s always a pleasure to meet the rising stars in our industry who join us for the Passion for Produce Program,” said Ron Lemaire, president of CPMA.

This tour to Rancagua and other production areas near Santiago was presented by Special New Fruit Licensing, which is based in Spain. SNFL is the owner of the Sheehan Genetics varieties. In Mexico, the varieties are being licensed directly by Sheehan Genetics. SNFL also has offices in Chile, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
