Kroger names president of Smith's
The Kroger Co. announced the promotion of Kenny Kimball, currently vice president of operations in the company's Smith's division, to serve as president of Smith's, effective April 30. Kimball succeeds Jay Cummins, whose retirement was announced in February.

ALDI to open 10 new stores in Southern California
Residents in California's Los Angeles and Orange counties will soon be able to experience a whole new way to grocery shop at ALDI. On Thursday, April 21, ALDI will open 10 new Southern California locations, six of which are in Los Angeles County, three in Orange County and one new store in San Bernardino County.

Lineage Logistics LLC, a warehousing and logistics company backed by Bay Grove, officially opened the doors on its state-of-the-art 180,000-square-foot cold storage distribution center in Charleston County, SC.
