It is with sadness that we announce the death of George, our beloved Masai giraffe. (“George the giraffe makes himself at home on Kenyan rose farm,” Floral Marketing in The Produce News, July 28-Aug.11, 2014, page 93). He passed on at the end of April from what we believe were natural causes.

The percent of all in-home eating occasions that include fresh foods, like fruit and vegetables, is almost back to levels seen 30 years ago, according to its food consumption research.
