Divine Flavor new warehouse
NOGALES, AZ — On Dec. 1, Divine Flavor LLC was scheduled to move into a new refrigerated warehouse here that is within two miles of the Mexican border. The firm will be moving from a facility in nearby Rio Rico, AZ. Five-thousand square feet will serve as the new Divine Flavor office. The remaining 91,000 square feet will have precooling and repacking facilities as well as refrigerated cold storages with temperatures to suit specific products, according to Pedro Batiz, Divine Flavor’s vice president of sales.
Divine Flavor also operates a San Diego warehouse.

WASHINGTON -- Fruit and vegetable companies will continue to sell to schools that must meet improved nutrition standards thanks to a deal cut in the FY 2015 omnibus spending bill signed Dec. 16 by President Obama.
The appropriations bill that funds U.S. Department of Agriculture programs hit a roadblock when an amendment passed that would have allowed schools struggling to meet the strict standards to be granted a waiver.
