Manuel Salazar named Camposol's new CEO
Leading Peruvian grower-exporter Camposol Holding Ltd. has named Manuel Salazar as its chief executive officer. He succeeds Samuel Dyer Coriat, who will temporarily remain executive chairman in order to support Salazar during the transition. Ultimately Coriat will continue as chairman of the board of directors, delegating all CEO duties to Salazar.

Larry Cox elected WGA chairman at 90th annual meeting
DEL MAR, CA — Larry Cox of Lawrence Cox Ranches in Brawley, CA, was elected chairman of the board of Western Growers Association at the group’s 90th annual meeting, held Nov. 8-11, here, in northern San Diego County.
Cox, who has served as senior vice chair for the past year, succeeded Vic Smith of JV Smith Cos. in Yuma, AZ. His election was confirmed at the Nov. 9 board meeting, where he was joined by the other officers for the 2015-16 year.

Spring rains result in downward estimate for Chilean cherries
A cold spring, occasional frosts and rains that have been both heavier and later than previous years have resulted in a revised estimate from the Chilean Cherry Committee.
The committee, which represents 84 percent of the industry’s export volume, has released a new update and estimate based on field data and early shipments.
Ahold and Delhaize announce executive team of combined company
Ahold and Delhaize Group announced the proposed executive committee of Ahold Delhaize, effective upon completion of the proposed merger of the two companies. The companies remain on track to complete the merger by mid-2016.
