Sobeys Inc. has surpassed its 2023 goal to divert 31 million pounds of surplus food annually from its operations to support local charities across Canada. Since Empire and Second Harvest formed a national partnership in 2021, the volume of rescued food has reached its goal to rescue and donate approximately 30 million meals annually. Of that diverted food, 42 percent was produce, 15 percent was dairy foods and bread was 11 percent.

Continental Fresh LLC is once again inviting the fresh produce industry to join it on its annual trek to provide families in the Dominican Republic with access to clean water and sanitation.

Continental Fresh is clear in its purpose to bring clean water and sanitation to communities in Latin America. Each day, it gets one drop closer through their Water For All brand. With every Water For All branded box of mangos sold, a percentage of proceeds is donated to fund clean water and sanitation projects through the non-profit BLUE Missions.
