As he looked to the start of the 2023 New Jersey potato season, Ron Budd was hopeful.

“I’m somewhat optimistic that we’re going to have another good potato year,” said Budd, vice president of Gloucester County Packing Corp. “We’re coming off a year that was unprecedented in yield and price for the grower. Nobody is expecting it to be as good as last year, but we are looking for an above-average year.”
