SEPC participates in Palmer Home for Children’s 11th annual radiothon
Each year, the Southeast Produce Council looks forward to the blessings they receive by participating in the Palmer Home for Children Radiothon where listeners from across the state of Mississippi and beyond tuned in to hear stories and guest interviews from the 128-year-old nonprofit.
Lettuce originated in ancient Egypt where it was first cultivated. Then the Romans and Greeks learned how to grow it from the Egyptians. Eventually, lettuce made its way around the world to where it became popular in the modern produce department of every grocery store and restaurant.
