Growers in Florida provide a wide variety of delicious and healthy fruits and vegetables throughout the year, and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ division of marketing and development is committed to raising awareness of these produce items through its Fresh From Florida campaign.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has filed an administrative complaint against R&S Export & Import Inc. and G&K Citrus LLC for alleged violations of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act. The Florida companies allegedly failed to make payment of more than $560,000.

R&S allegedly failed to make payment promptly to eight produce sellers in the amount of $298,099 from January 2020 through April 2020. G&K Citrus allegedly failed to make payment promptly to four produce sellers in the amount of $265,700 from October 2018 through July 2020.
