Progressive Produce, a Los Angeles-based year-round grower-packer-shipper of fresh produce, has doubled down on its sustainability efforts vowing to have all its products shipped in recyclable packaging by 2025.

Four Seasons Produce, Inc. a full-service wholesale produce distributor servicing produce buyers in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, continues to see its organic footprint increase as it now represents more than 50 percent of units sold.

Divine Flavor has been offering organic fruits and vegetables almost since its beginning more than 30 years ago. In fact, Quality Assurance and Public Relations Coordinator Michael DuPuis is fond of saying “organics are part of our DNA.” Grupo Alta, Divine Flavor’s parent company and its Mexico farming entity, began growing table grapes in Sonora in 1991. It was only a few years later that the partners started growing organic grapes.

While the supply chain issues that plagued the nation and the produce industry since the beginning of COVID-19 are not gone, the situation has improved with produce truck rates backing off their highs and far fewer ocean freighters stacked up in West Coast ports waiting to be unloaded.

It has been dubbed the Great Resignation, and refers to the record number of Americans that have voluntarily quit their jobs in the past year.

Inflationary concerns are an issue. The direction of the economy is being watched by pundits, economists and businesses throughout the country and the world.
