NuBerry Farms has solidified its position as a vertically integrated leader in the blueberry industry.

NuBerry Farms manages 2,600 acres of blueberry production across Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina and Michigan, supported by packing facilities in Georgia, New Jersey and Michigan to ensure a consistent, year-round supply.

Michigan’s agricultural scene is characterized by its rich diversity, with farmers growing a wide array of fruits and vegetables that peak during the summer months.

The state’s blueberry production is particularly notable, with more than 100 million pounds harvested annually across around 575 family farms, which contribute roughly $140 million to Michigan’s economy. These farms grow approximately 30 different blueberry varieties, showcasing the state’s strength in the category.

The Vineland Produce Auction has long been the premier produce auction in the country, and its success is important to New Jersey and the Northeast’s ag industry overall.

Located on 44 acres in Vineland, NJ, the cooperative is comprised of hundreds of member farmers and an elected board of directors. The facility has nearly 130,000 square feet of cross-dock loading which the member farmers, brokers and distributors utilize.

The New Jersey Department of Agriculture is thrilled to have had a conventional winter that allowed for soil recharge — and without major swings — to allow for the beginning of an excellent looking season for growers in the state.
