As an anchor tenant on the Detroit Produce Terminal, Riggio Distribution Co. is a trusted, full-service, fresh produce distributor and wholesaler, which has been servicing the entire Midwest from its home base for decades.

Edward L. Myrick Produce has successful operations in Florida, Georgia and Michigan, working with chain stores and wholesalers all around the United States and Canada. While the Michigan operations are only a few years old, the company has found success there and it’s helped it turn into a year-round supplier of fresh fruits and vegetables.

In 2025, the first half of the year has proven to be solid for the company.

With nine decades of experience behind it, Frank Donio Inc. continues to be a trusted name in blueberries.

It was more than 25 years ago when the company unveiled its Top Crop brand to highlight its network of family-owned farms, a group of growers who have been living the tradition of cultivating the land for generations. Blueberries packed under this label are highly in demand.

In a typical year, the New Jersey season will yield an average of 12 to 14 million pounds of fresh and frozen blueberries.

Sunny Valley International has long been a supplier of imported and domestic blueberries, with strong supplies in the category 12-months a year thanks to winter programs out of Peru, Chile and other sources of origin, and spring programs in Georgia and North Carolina.

Blueberries are Sonny Boy Produce’s most important item, as the company ships more blues than all of its other items combined, regularly doing around 6.5 million pounds of blues in a year. 

It’s been a big year for Ben B. Schwartz & Sons.

“We made several, key sales hires to help support our expansion efforts into new areas, such as Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Illinois and Wisconsin,” said Bill Loupée, chief operating officer for the company.

The three new salespeople added to the team are Josh Harrison, Scott Bagan and Paul Suttmiller.
