Professional football player and current Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Joey Bosa will compete against World Champion Competitive Eater Joey Chestnut during the second annual Wonderful Pistachios Get Crackin’ Eating Championship on World Pistachio Day, Feb. 26, at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier.

The Michigan Apple Committee works in the areas of consumer education, research, market development and communications with the primary goal to help Michigan Apple growers be successful in their businesses.

“Our main focus area is working to increase Michigan Apple consumption amongst consumers,” said Diane Smith, executive director of the Michigan Apple Committee. “Our mission is to enhance the reputation of Michigan Apples, improve their share of sales in target markets and aid the profitability and sustainability of Michigan’s apple industry.”

The Fresh Produce & Floral Council hosted the first luncheon of the new year Jan. 24 at the Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, CA, with over 220 members in attendance. This luncheon featured Master of Ceremonies Myisha Nathaniel of Raley’s and 2024 FPFC Chair Kristen Reid of MIXTEC Group.
