The FDA and CDC, in collaboration with state and local partners, are investigating a multistate outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections linked to peaches, plums and nectarines that were distributed nationwide and sold at Publix, Walmart and Sam’s Club, and Albertsons Co. banners. To date there have been 10 hospitalizations and one death related to the outbreak.

In this season of giving food to those in need, Big Y’s annual Sack Hunger campaign provides funds for the four food banks within its two-state marketing area.
