From appetizers to snacks to drinks, fresh greenhouse grown produce is the key ingredient for making summer gatherings a hit.

Lisa Roath has been named Target's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. In her new role, Roath will lead the company’s core marketing functions, including creative, guest marketing strategy, retail brand experience, social media, paid media strategy and marketing strategy and operations. She joins Target’s leadership team effective immediately and will report to Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief guest experience officer.  

The Giant Co. donated $200,000 to grow food system resiliency through the PA Farm Bill Urban Agriculture Infrastructure Grant program.

Josh Shapiro and Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding joined Dave Lessard, vice president, omni-channel merchandising fresh at The Giant Co., for a check presentation and to tour the farm’s efforts to improve food access in its community.

A new face will be joining the United Apple team for the 2023-24 season. James Williams has joined the Lyndonville, NY-based grower-packer-shipper as business development manager.

Williams is bringing a diverse background in the produce industry. Previously a business development manager at Intergrow Greenhouses Inc. and a produce merchant at Sam’s Club in Bentonville, AR, he has experience from tropicals, to grapes and potatoes to tomatoes.

Freshouse Produce, a full-service produce company located in Salisbury, NC, has appointed Nate Nelson as senior warehouse operations manager, where he will utilize data and transparency to increase efficiencies and safety practices.
