Since 1961 the mission of the NC Sweetpotato Commission has been to increase consumption of North Carolina sweetpotatoes through education, promotional activities, research and honorable horticultural practices.

The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services is tasked with promoting potatoes grown in the state, throughout the U.S. and Canada, and works to ensure state growers are successful.

As of mid-May, the state was kicking off strawberry season, which is always the kickoff to its general harvesting season, as it readies broccoli, blueberries, peaches, watermelon, followed by summer vegetables like eggplants, squash, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and more.

As one of the premier produce auctions in the Eastern United States, the Vineland Cooperative Produce Auction’s success is of utmost importance to New Jersey and the Northeast region.

Although California’s citrus domestic season is winding down, Bee Sweet Citrus maintains an ample supply of Royal Red oranges, Star Ruby grapefruit and lemons to meet consumer demand.
