During the month of April, The United Family donated 50,000 pounds of apples to food banks and food pantries across Texas and New Mexico.

In the first 12 years of the Take a Bite Out of Hunger program, United Family stores have donated more than half a million pounds of apples and fed more than 167,000 families. Now in the 13th year, the company continues to add to that total.

More than 300 exhibitors featured their products and services at the 2023 Canadian Produce Marketing Association convention and trade show, which took place April 26-27. Traffic remained strong on the show floor for both days before attendees headed to the annual banquet, which brought the event to a close.

With a compelling keynote presentation by a woman pioneer, a fascinating retail panel and richly deserving recipients of the produce and floral achievement awards, the 2023 FPFC Expo seemingly met the great expectations of the many people in the crowded exhibit hall.

The New England Produce Council announced a new venue for its annual golf tournament this summer: the Waverly Oaks Golf Club in Plymouth, MA. The golf tournament will take place on Tuesday, July 25.
