The Garlic Co. considers the Produce Marketing Association’s July 29-31 Foodservice Conference & Exposition in Monterey, CA, to be extremely important because it does a sizable portion of its business with the foodservice sector.

Attendees of the event will find The Garlic Co. at booth number 48. Bob Lords, fresh and foodservice sales manager; John Layous, a partner in the firm; and his son Michael Layous will be on hand to greet customers and prospective customers.

“We will be promoting our primary ‘claims-to-fame’ at the upcoming [Produce Marketing Association] Foodservice Expo,” Mike Aiton, director of marketing for Prime Time International in Coachella, CA, told The Produce News. “They are our colored peppers in red, yellow and green, which are available every day of the year, and the fact that we pack our peppers in facilities that we own and operate.”

At the July 29-31 Produce Marketing Association Foodservice Conference & Exposition in Monterey, CA, Christopher Ranch will be touting, among other things, the “superior” food-safety rating it recently earned.

Representing the company at its booth, number 100, at the event will be Justin Guibert, a sales representative at Christopher Ranch’s Gilroy, CA, headquarters; Eric Kraus, sales and management representative from its Vernon, CA, office; and Anthony DeAngelis, director of its Northeast division.

Paul Frederic, senior vice president of sales and marketing for To-Jo Fresh Mushrooms Inc. in Avondale, PA, told The Produce News that company officials will be representing To-Jo Mushrooms at the Produce Marketing Association’s Foodservice Conference & Exposition in Monterey, CA, July 29-31. The company will be exhibiting at booth number 49.

In attendance on behalf of the firm in addition to Mr. Frederic will be Tony D’Amico, president; Todd Kostka, sales and marketing specialist; and Pete Wilder, director of business development.

Wayne E. Bailey Produce Co. is making a concerted push with fresh-cut processed sweet potatoes, and the July 29-31 Produce Marketing Association Foodservice Conference & Exposition provides it with the perfect venue for its efforts.

“I’ll be joined at the Wayne E. Bailey Produce Company booth, number 34, at the PMA Foodservice expo by Michelle Jacobs and Ronnie Mercer, sales associates with our company,” George Wooten, president and chief executive officer of the Chadbourn, NC-based company told The Produce News.

Michael Gagel, sales representative for Basciani Foods in Avondale, PA, told The Produce News that the company is looking forward to meeting with customers and prospective customers at the July 29-31 Produce Marketing Association Foodservice Conference & Exposition in Monterey, CA, where it hopes to learn what it can do to advance its service to them.
