The South Texas Onion Committee was busy from April through mid-July promoting Texas 1015 sweet onions, resulting in another record-breaking marketing program this spring and early summer focusing on increasing brand awareness and sales of the Texas 1015 Sweet Onion.

As summer continues, people across the country are looking for delicious onions that add flavor to all sorts of meals. Peri & Sons Farms is ready to provide consumers with the perfect summer onion as it begins its Sweetie Sweet program.

“The market is strong on sweets and there’s a lot of demand, so we’re excited about that,” said Jessica Peri, retail sales manager for the Yerington, NV-based company. “We have the conventional Sweetie Sweets and organic Sweetie Sweets coming available.”

As the Peruvian sweet onion season approaches, Keystone Fruit Marketing, a division of Progressive Produce, is ready to provide its expertise and premium-quality Peruvian Mayan Sweets to customers across the United States and Canada.

The Idaho-Eastern Oregon Onion Committee is now taking applications for this year’s Onion Country VIP Tour, which has been scheduled for Oct. 5-7 in the Treasure Valley.

Airfare, lodging, meals and group ground transportation are being provided to selected buyers, who will be met at the Boise, ID, airport on Thursday, Oct. 5, and taken to Ontario, OR, and their lodging. An industry dinner will be hosted by the committee that night.
