Naturipe Farms is ramping up its Sweet Selections blackberries, offering retailers a premium blackberry option with unparalleled flavor and consistent quality. Grown in Mexico, Sweet Selections blackberries are packed with the exceptional sweetness and large, vibrant berries of the proprietary “Fenomenal” variety, developed through Naturipe’s renowned breeding program.

The 2025 domestic blueberry season is shaping up to be a strong one and Somerfield Farms is positioned to be among the earliest to market with fresh blueberries from central and south Florida.

As imports from South America begin to decline, Somerfield Farms will be ready to transition smoothly into domestic production supporting retail, wholesale and foodservice partners alike with high-quality fruit starting late February and building to strong volumes by early March.

Florida strawberries are notably first in season in the U.S., available to shoppers from December through March. During winter months, Florida’s climate includes warm days and cool nights. This type of weather helps ensure that strawberries grown in Florida are a vibrant red, flavorful and juicy.

Naturipe Farms is experiencing peak organic blueberry volumes from early December 2024 through February 2025. The volumes, originating from Naturipe’s South American growing operations in Peru and Chile, are among the highest quality in taste and appearance and will resonate well with retailers and customers alike.

Even though the summer season has passed, that’s no reason to cut back on berry displays. There will still be a supply of berries that consumers continue to crave — especially strawberries. Keep in mind that the berry category contributes major sales and gross profit dollars to the total produce income.

Even though hot summer days are behind us, that’s no reason to slow down promoting California strawberries. But as the fall season slowly moves toward the winter months, we will see less production. Right now, the fall strawberry crop is looking good and peaking so it is a good time to go after those ad promotions while you are able.
