According to multiple sources, including news stories in both the United States and Mexico, the state of Jalisco in Mexico has won approval to ship fresh avocados into the United States. 

The approval has been held up for more than five years with little news on the progress of negotiations between Mexico and U.S. agricultural officials, with the popular belief that the delay was related to other trade issues between the two countries, including the shipping of U.S. potatoes into Mexico.

Featuring avocados that naturally range from small to large, Goodvocado packs allow consumers to customize their use of avocados, ultimately helping them discover new ways to incorporate avocados into their everyday cuisine.

California-based avocado grower Index Fresh Inc. has added Nick Garcia to its sales and business development team with an eye toward growth in all areas within the U.S. and a specific focus on expansion in the foodservice sector. The move positions the over 100-year-old avocado company to build upon existing relationships and cultivate new partnerships through consistency, reliability, and integrity.

The World Avocado Organization fired back at what it considers a smear campaign against avocados by a small group of London chefs who claim the water footprint to produce the fruit is too high and thus detrimental to the environment.
