GR Fresh, a major grower-packer-importer of fresh Mexican vegetables, will begin a new deal, shipping colored Bell peppers from a new region in Jalisco. Tony Incaviglia, the firm’s vice president sales and marketing, said this is an entrée to shipping colored Bells 12 months a year.

“We always have been, and we always are looking toward handling something new,” said Incaviglia, who works from the weeks-old GR Fresh cold warehouse and office facility in McAllen, TX.

Jim Donald, Albertson’s Co-Chairman and one of most admired CEOs in the world, will be a featured keynote presenter at the fifth annual Organic Produce Summit (OPS), joining retail industry veteran Kevin Coupe for a provocative and engaging conversation about the future of the food industry,  and the role organics will play for consumers and the retail community.

Produce Marketing Association opened registration for the 2021 Foodservice Conference and Expo taking place in Monterey, CA, July 21-22.  With a compact schedule, this year’s conference will deliver on the things that matter most to an industry segment that was especially hard hit during the pandemic:  innovative ideas, old friends and new connections.   

The Canadian Produce Marketing Association said exhibit space for the 2022 CPMA Convention and Trade Show is now on sale. The 96th annual Convention and Trade Show will take place in Montreal April 5-7 at the Palais des congrés de Montréal.

This will be the first major Canadian trade show for the produce industry in two years and will feature 535 exhibit spaces with more than 250 companies from around the world.

With its beginnings dating back to the turn of the last century, the United Fresh Produce Association has a rich and storied history of bringing the fresh produce industry together under the same roof on an annual basis to discuss the issues of the day.

The Southeast Produce Council's annual Southern Innovations conference and trade show this fall will focus on "What's New" in the fresh produce industry, highlighting the latest innovations from organics and new product developments to technology and unique brand approaches.
