GRAPEVINE, TX – At 8 a.m. on March 26, a remarkable event occurred within the framework of the Viva Fresh Expo.  The expo was hours away from its launch, except that golfers were undoubtedly getting psyched for a perfect tournament day to kick off the expo.  While not on the official docket, this meeting was very much within Viva Fresh’s spirit and objective.

The 2021 Viva Fresh Expo, held March 25-27, hosted about 1,200 attendees and had about 150 exhibits. The show attracted about 200 retail and foodservice produce buyers, according to Dante Galeazzi, president and CEO of TIPA. 

The show was held at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine, TX, which is near DFW Airport.  This will also be the site of the next Viva Fresh Expo, which is set for April 21-23, 2022.

GRAPEVINE, TX — What a 12-month period in Texas! The Viva Fresh Expo, March 26-27, gave Texas’ produce industry a chance to exhale after taking a beating for what seemed a very long time.

In March 2020, of course, The Lone Star State joined the rest of the world in suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic. The fifth annual Viva Fresh Expo was canceled for 2020.

The Texas International Association announced a new partnership with the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley at last week’s Viva Fresh Expo’s keynote luncheon. Food Bank RGV’s Viva Fresh Produce Pledge, “A Gift from Farms to Families” is a new program that will serve as a year-round collection effort of fresh produce donations to help food insecure communities in Texas.

GRAPEVINE, TX — There was a very happy mood at Viva Fresh Expo March 25-27, as the produce industry felt liberated from the year-long grip of the global COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Texas International Produce Association has presented a superior event over the last six years, with a postponement of the 2020 expo.

The Mexican mango program of Continental Fresh LLC is seasonally gearing up this March, according to Albert Perez, CEO and head of grower relations.
