The New England Produce Council kicked off its annual Produce, Floral & Foodservice Expo Wednesday evening, Aug. 24, with two opening cocktail receptions, held at The Sporting Club at the Omni at the Seaport Hotel, in Boston. Coast to Coast Produce and North Bay Produce co-sponsored the VIP Reception, and 4M Fruit Distributors sponsored the Cocktail Reception, according to NEPC Executive Director Laura Sullivan.

When the New England Produce Council hosts its annual Produce, Floral and Foodservice Expo in Boston on Aug. 24 and 25, Maurice A. Auerbach Inc., will once again be participating, and that’s because the New England market is key to the company’s success.

“We enjoy the show and get to see a lot of the customers that we don’t get to see on a regular basis,” said Bruce Klein, director of marketing for Maurice A. Auerbach Inc., a third-generation, family-owned enterprise headquartered in Secaucus, NJ.

The New Jersey Department of Agriculture is looking forward to the 2022 NEPC show as New England is the second largest market for Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables outside of the immediate tri-state market of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

The 22nd Annual New England Produce, Floral & Food Service Expo will be held Aug. 24-25 at the Omni at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. As always it will include an exceptional line up of speakers and more than 100 produce and floral exhibitors showcasing their products.

As Kurt Zuhlke prepares for this year’s New England Produce Council Produce, Floral and Foodservice Expo, he’s planning on meeting with customers and friends in the produce industry. He’s also hopeful that attendance is higher than last year’s event, which was still affected by COVID-19.

“It’s an opportunity to meet with some of the people at retail and let them know what’s out there, some of the new packaging that’s coming out,” said Zuhlke, whose company is headquartered in Easton, PA.

The New England Produce Council has announced the moderator and panelists for the Educational Breakfast Panel Session during its annual expo this August.
