The New England Produce Council Inc. has introduced its inaugural Leadership Development Program, aimed at empowering aspiring produce and floral managers to excel in today's industry landscape.

The New England Produce Council is inviting the industry to a new venue, Encore Boston Harbor in Everett, MA, for its 23rd NEPC Produce, Floral & Food Service Expo, scheduled to take place Aug. 21-22.

The Encore Boston Harbor is a destination venue that will host both the expo exhibits and overnight guest rooms.

Over the past two years, businesses have been facing a string of supply chain challenges, including lack of truck drivers and high gas prices — and those challenges are exacerbated by the perishable nature of the products in the produce and floral industries.

The New England Produce Council held an educational session on supply chain challenges the morning of Aug. 25 at the council's annual Produce, Floral & Food Service Expo, which was held at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, a new venue.

BOSTON — The New England Produce Council drew a sizeable and energetic crowd to its 2022 expo, held here Aug. 24-25. And those at the expo — sponsors, exhibitors, attendees and NEPC executives — really liked what they saw.

As one exhibitor said on the show floor, "This is probably the best NEPC show that I've attended in my many years of coming."
