PARMA, ID — Foodservice buyers can again take advantage of the popular Brandspointplus.com buying program by choosing Idaho-Eastern Oregon onions this year, according to Sherise Jones, IEOOC marketing director.

The New York Apple Association announced Nov. 2 that David McClurg, the longtime vice president of marketing for the association, will be leaving the organization this month.

Mr. McClurg, who joined the association in 2001, will be taking a management position with IFCO Systems, which operates a pool of more than 125 million reusable plastic containers to transport fresh produce from producers to leading grocery retailers.

Effective immediately, Jed Murray has been promoted to vice president of operations with Val Verde Vegetable Co. Inc. of McAllen, TX, according to an Oct 28. press release. Mr. Murray has been with the company for three years and previously held the role of cabbage harvest manager.
