Sun Pacific adds Sugraone to its table grape line
Three years after its planting, Sun Pacific in Los Angeles is ready to harvest and distribute the Sugraone variety table grape.
"This will be our first year having the Sugraone, and we are very excited to be able to offer it in big volume to our clients as a way to kick off their California table grape program," Tristan Kieva, Sun Pacific's vice president of marketing, said in a press release.
"The Sugraone is attractive to buyers and consumers because it eats well and is large in size," Ms. Kieva added. "It was the perfect addition to our table grape collection since it is well known as a very high-quality, early seedless white grape."
Sun Pacific has built a reputation on delivering high-quality grapes since it began growing its acreage in 1985. It now ships over 4 million lugs per year from its vineyards in the San Joaquin Valley.
This year, Sun Pacific plans to ship over 250,000 lugs of the Sugraone variety under its well-known "Air Chief" brand and is set to begin shipping at the end of June. The grapes will be offered in 19-pound bags, 18-pound wraps and 21-pound plain packs.
In addition to Sugraone, Sun Pacific will offer Flames, Thompsons, Summer Royals, Rubys, Princesses, Crimsons, Autumn Royals, Scarlet Royals, Sweet Scarlets and Red Globes.
