Shuman Farms, a storied family business with deep roots in Georgia, has been a leading grower and shipper of Vidalia onions for three generations.

Georgia Grown is the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s marketing and economic development program, and it’s dedicated to growing the agriculture industry by bringing all types of businesses — growers, processors, suppliers, distributors, retailers, etc., together.

Following a significant expansion at its Delta, BC, location, Windset Farms launched its latest products — Yum Yums Cherry Tomatoes, Sweeties Seedless Mini Peppers and Amore Sweet Tomatoes on the Vine — at the 2024 CPMA Convention and Trade Show.

Honeybear Brands is shipping a limited amount of its newest released proprietary variety  – Honeymoon. This firm, exceptionally clean, yellow variety is an unsuspecting sensation of appearance, flavor and crispness making its debut on the retail apple deck.

Big Y and partners have sent checks to 100 farms for this year’s Local Farmer Awards — a record number of awards in the program’s 10th year.  Among the winners, the most common ‘primary product’ was vegetables.

A team of independent reviewers read each of the 199 applications submitted this year.  These reviewers selected 100 farms to receive a 2024 grant from the Local Farmer Awards.
