Viva Fresh Expo celebrates resurgence of normal business

GRAPEVINE, TX — There was a very happy mood at Viva Fresh Expo March 25-27, as the produce industry felt liberated from the year-long grip of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The Texas International Produce Association has presented a superior event over the last six years, with a postponement of the 2020 expo.

Expo organizers offered green, yellow and red name tags for attendees to conspicuously display their comfort level with physical contact related to COVID-19.  The vast majority of attendees have been vaccinated and selected green tags.  Per requirement, face masks were used in common areas.

The meeting was held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, which is a few minutes outside the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
