After 10 years as general manager for the Star Roses and Plants facilities in West Grove, PA, Steve Ramsay has moved into a new role with the company and has been succeeded by Alex Wharton.

Wharton, who joined the company in 2017, has advanced through several roles with increasing responsibility, from his start as a grower tech to his most recent position as assistant general manager. He holds a degree in horticulture science from Oregon State University.

Ocean Mist Farms has promoted Jeff Fulton to vice president sales and product management.

BJ’s Wholesale Club is expanding with new locations in Texas and Alabama. A Mesquite club will mark the company’s fifth location in Texas, and a Foley club will be the second in Alabama. Each new club is expected to create between 100 and 150 jobs in its community. The company also announced that it is relocating its Rotterdam, NY, club to a new location.
