Setton Farms is expanding its pistachio category by promoting a variety of value added items.
Joseph Setton, a principal in the company, said the firm’s five naturally flavored pistachios include Salt & Pepper, Jalapeno, Garlic Onion, Chipotle BBQ and Chili Limon.
“These are available in seven-ounce stand up film bags,” said Setton. “Our premium Dark Chocolate Pistachios launched last summer in a five-ounce resealable stand-up bag with a variety of display options.”
The company’s Pistachio Chewy Bites are a nutrient dense snack that is now available in two-pack and individually wrapped options in addition to a retail six-pack bag.
“Our resealable kernel bags offer a convenient way to snack, bake or cook with pistachios without the hassle of removing shells,” added Setton. “Offering a wide assortment of different types of pistachios gives the consumer new and innovative ways to enjoy healthy snacking.”
This winter, Setton Farms will be premiering its line of premium snack mixes. These best-selling flavors will be available in beautiful resealable stand-up bags with attractive graphics.
“Our Pistachio Berry Blend takes our family’s best tasting California pistachios and combines them with tart cherries and cranberries, fresh roasted almonds and cashews with creamy white chips for a decadent combination sure to please,” noted Setton.
“Crème Brulee Blend combines freshly roasted cashews and toffee peanuts with creamy butterscotch and white chips for a truly irresistible taste,” he added.
Setton Farms’ Sweet & Salty Blend combines fresh roasted almonds, cashews and peanuts with pure honey and authentic sea salt to satisfy any craving. The addition of sesame sticks gives this mix its addictive crunch.
Setton pointed out that a current trend that continues to rise is grab-and-go packaging.
“People are increasingly on the move, and they need snack options that are versatile enough for their lifestyle,” said Setton. “These portioned snacks, like our Pistachio Chewy Bites and new 100 Calorie Packs, are important to help maintain a balanced diet while at the office, during outdoor activities, or on the road.”
Many of Setton Farms’ pistachio products are naturally Certified Gluten Free and Non-GMO Project Verified. Setton pointed out that these are two key attributes many consumers now reach for.
