Red Jacket Orchards likes to keep it cloudy
Red Jacket Orchards, a family-owned brand, has been selling fresh fruit juices for more than five decades and has introduced a new alternative to traditional juicing by creating cold-pressed juices.
The family-owned company grows more than 300,000 bushels of apples and 1.4 million pounds of seasonal summer fruits, including cherries, strawberries, peaches, plums and apricots.
Red Jacket Orchards cold-pressed juices are produced using a traditional rack-and-cloth method of taking fresh fruit, chopping it, and pressing the cold mash into a noticeably cloudy juice.
This cloudiness is the presence of soluble fiber, antioxidants and flavonoids that competitors cook out when they add in enzymes and other preservatives or flavorings. Red Jacket Orchards cold-pressed juices are made naturally with whole fruit and no additives.
“Over 50 years ago my grandfather started producing fresh fruits and juices,” Brian Nicholson, a third-generation owner of Red Jacket, said in a press release. “Today we employ the same values and dedication to freshness and flavor, in an advanced and eco-friendly facility.”
With environmentally sensitive methods in a LEED-certified sustainable juice facility, the company dedicates its efforts to providing customers with a safe, natural and environmentally friendly source to get their produce. Red Jacket Orchards keeps it simple, lets nature do its work and gives customers the rawest juice possible.
