Associated Wholesale Grocers Inc. announced the retirement of Don Woods Jr., vice chair of the AWG board of directors. Woods, owner of Woods Super Markets Inc., served on the AWG board for more than 38 years, serving as vice chair for 24 years. AWG board member Dale Trahan, owner of Dale L. Trahan Enterprises Inc., was appointed to serve as AWG’s vice chair.

In true holiday spirit, the growers of Envy apples recently brought the holiday magic to life by collaborating with Hallmark Channel actor and entrepreneur Andrew Walker for a apple sampling experience at Longo’s in Toronto.

For four delightful hours on Monday, Dec. 11, Walker joined Envy at Longo’s in Maple Leaf Square to hand out Envy apple samples, sign autographs and join in selfies with fans. The Envy team also passed out free swag items to shoppers.
