Produce professionals from throughout the industry are gearing up the New York Produce Show and Conference, which will take place Dec. 10-12.

The New York Produce show brings together the produce community, fostering the renewal of existing connections, the formation of new relationships and an opportunity to expand relationships.

This Giving Tuesday, Healthy Family Project and Lowes Foods announced the launch of the 2024 A Season of Sharing campaign, helping to provide an incredible 600,000 meals to Second Harvest of Northwest North Carolina and Golden Harvest Food Bank, both greatly affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton. The initiative brings together 23 health-conscious brands, marking the second year of this impactful partnership that emphasizes giving back to the community while promoting healthier food choices.

Meg Ham, president of Food Lion, plans to retire May 2, 2025, after more than 35 years with the organization. Parent company Ahold Delhaize said a successor will be announced before year-end.

Ham has been at the helm of Food Lion for more than a decade and has been part of the brand’s unprecedented growth, grounded in Food Lion’s heritage of customer service and convenient locations.
