Whole Foods Market has announced a major milestone in its Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program with the donation of its first-ever electric food rescue vehicle. This donation, made in the company’s hometown of Austin, marks a step forward in the program’s evolution—advancing both food access and sustainability.

The Hass Avocado Board initiated the 2025 nominations, announcing the availability of open seats. Between now and April 1, eligible Hass Avocado producers and importers can nominate themselves or others here for one of six three-year terms opening on the Board this November— four open seats for producers and two open seats for importers.

The tariffs President Donald Trump planned to put in place on Canadian and Mexican goods went into effect just after midnight. As initially planned, a 25 percent duty was put in effect for all imports from Mexico as well as most goods from Canada. Trump also added an extra 10 percent tariff on goods from China, 20 percent total.
