Processing and foreign demand for sweet potatoes continue to rise, and L&M Cos. is up to the challenge.

“L&M’s sweet potato crop is holding up very well in storage,” Jeff Scramlin, product manager for sweet potatoes for L&M Cos. in Raleigh, NC, told The Produce News. “One of the main reasons that consumption has increased every year is due to the year-round availability of cured sweet potatoes. I believe you will continue to see cured product available, and the demand strong, on a year-round basis.”

As an annual participant since the first expo 13 years ago, The Oppenheimer Group is one of the staunchest supporters of Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure Retail & Foodservice Conference & Expo.
