Schnuck Markets Inc. announced Ted Schnuck, currently vice president of fresh, has been named the company’s executive vice president of supermarkets. Dave Peacock, president and chief operating officer since May 2017, will transition back to the company’s board of directors in October, following his acceptance of a new role with Continental Grain Co.

Adam Wampler, president of Kroger’s Dallas division, died earlier this week. He was 48. With more than 30 years in the retail industry, Mr. Wampler had a successful career with Albertsons/Safeway and Bartell Drugs in Seattle before joining Kroger.

Raley’s has promoted two key leaders within the organization: Craig Benson’s is now senior vice president, head of technology; and Levi Wingo’s is vice president of operations.

IFCO, a world leading provider of Reusable Plastic Containers for fresh food packaging, has named supply chain veteran Rick Overholt as vice president of grower sales for its North American market. He succeeds Craig Kelly, who is retiring after seven years in the IFCO SYSTEMS organization.

Eugene Loudon Brunk Jr., a passionate floral industry leader and mentor for more than 45 years, died at his home on May 4 due to complications from COVID-19. Born in Detroit in 1955, Mr. Brunk began his floral career in sales at DWF Wholesale Florist in Flint, MI, where he spent nearly 15 years. In 1990, he went to work at Koehler & Dramm Wholesale Florist in Minneapolis, both as a salesman and a greens buyer, eventually becoming its general manager.

MyLand Co. LLC announced the hiring of Shelley Baugh as senior director of marketing. Baugh will be responsible for leading all marketing initiatives, communications and public relations for the organization. Based in Phoenix, she will work directly with CEO Peter Williams to showcase the company’s regenerative agriculture system.
