Simbe Robotics adds two sales VPs
Brian Hughes and Barbra Chase have joined Simbe Robotics — both serving as vice president of sales.
Hughes and Chase bring significant experience in shelf digitization and store intelligence retail technology. "Their decision to join Simbe sends a clear message: retailers and top talent recognize Simbe as the leader in retail technology," said Brooks Augustine, senior vice president of sales.
Hughes most recently worked at Brain Corp., where he built high-value partnerships with Fortune 500 retailers and drove adoption of autonomous floor scrubber solutions across thousands of stores. Previously at Nilfisk, he consistently exceeded national account quotas and executed one of the company’s largest rollouts — 2,200-plus machines across 500 stores in just 90 days — earning multiple salesman of the year and goalmaker awards.
Chase brings extensive sales leadership experience, having pioneered shelfAI solutions globally from SymphonyAI, Focal Systems and Brain Corp. Known for her ability to build strong relationships and guide technology adoption, Chase has helped retailers of all sizes solve complex operational challenges. She has also served as a board member of the American Cancer Society’s Denver chapter, underscoring her leadership both within and outside the industry.
"At Simbe, we consistently hear that our vision, market share and depth of strategic partnership set us apart, alongside our distinction as the only vertically integrated physical AI company — a crucial advantage for keeping total cost of ownership low for retailers," said Augustine. "With Brian and Barbra onboard, we’ll further strengthen this muscle, helping retailers leverage robots, fixed sensors and RFID to achieve full-store visibility while monetizing that intelligence with DSD and vendor partners."
Augustine said the industry conversation has definitively shifted: having eyes into every store depends on combining multiple modalities to deliver comprehensive store coverage. "Simbe is the only retail technology platform uniting computer vision, robotics, RFID and fixed sensors — and that’s why we power shelf intelligence for more retail banners worldwide than any other company," he said.
