Fall Creek promotes Dave Daniel to GM for U.S. and Canada
Dave Daniel has been named the general manager for Fall Creek Farm & Nursery Inc.’s U.S. and Canada business. Previously, he was the blueberry breeding and nursery company’s U.S. operations manager.
In his new role, Daniel is accountable for managing and developing the U.S. regional team, supporting and enhancing the company’s values and culture. He is responsible for developing the annual operating plan to meet goals and budget. Daniel is based in Lowell, OR, and reports to Alberto Medina-Mora, regional director for the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
“Dave brings valuable expertise and experience in the industry and within the company to this position,” said Medina-Mora. “He will lead the team with a focus on enhancing internal partnerships for customer success and play an important leadership role as the U.S. region continues to expand and diversify.”
In 2012, Daniel and his wife sold their Pleasant Hill Nursery in Pleasant Hill, OR, to Fall Creek, and he joined the company as farm manager in Oregon. In 2014, he was promoted to production manager, overseeing plant production and crop health at all of Fall Creek’s Oregon facilities. He was promoted again in 2019 to operations manager.
“As a long-time Oregon nursery owner before joining Fall Creek as an employee, I admired the Brazeltons and Vollstedts and their extremely high nursery quality standards. After a decade with the company, I know firsthand the commitment to and investments made in ensuring high plant health and quality, the finest blueberry genetics, and well-trained and knowledgeable employees,” said Daniel. “Now, as general manager of Fall Creek’s U.S. and Canada operations, I look forward to collaborating with our incredible team to find ways to continually increase the value we deliver to our customers.”
