D’Ottavio Farms grows and distributes some of the finest produce in southern New Jersey, and one of its key commodities in the summer months is blueberries.

After a year where blueberries had some unique challenges for most growers, the Vineland, NJ-based company is liking what it sees from this year’s upcoming season.

Hood River Cherry Co.’s orchards are situated in a pristine river valley off the Columbia River Gorge, flanked by the monolith that is Mt. Hood. The topography matters to the company, the community, and the fruit. “Our fruit enjoys consistently warm days and then we get the big temperature swing at night with airflow up the Gorge off the Pacific,” said Kristoff Fowler, field manager at Hood River, who maps out the geography.

Spice World launched Easy Onion in two squeezable sizes last year and created the new 16-ounce jar in response to strong consumer demand for convenient, fresh onion without all the prep time. Each jar contains approximately four medium onions grown in the U.S.

The Giant Co.'s Healing Our Planet initiative raised more than $1.46 million to support Rodale Institute, Planet Bee Foundation and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful. The campaign, now in its third year, has raised more than $5.6 million to grow health and sustainability initiatives.

Floriexpo 2023, held from May 31 to June 2 at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center, was an extraordinary three-day event that brought together floral vendors and mass market floral buyers from a wide range of sectors. Supermarkets, chain stores, wholesale florist distributors, online retailers and more were united under one roof. The expo showcased an extensive selection of products, spanning from fresh cut flowers and greens to potted plants, containers, plush, technology, gift items, logistics and everything in between.

C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. appointed Dave Bozeman as CEO and a member of the board of directors effective June 26. Scott Anderson, who has been serving as interim CEO since January 2023, will continue in his role until Bozeman joins the company and will work with him to ensure a smooth transition of leadership. Anderson will continue to serve as a member of C.H. Robinson’s board of directors.
