Novazone appoints VP of worldwide sales
Novazone, a leading provider of ozone-based solutions that improve the freshness and safety of food and water, has announced the appointment of Patrick Whalen as vice president of worldwide sales.
In his new position, Mr. Whalen is responsible for all aspects of sales and field application engineering. Reporting to Paul White, Novazone's president and chief executive officer, Mr. Whalen will be located at the company's headquarters in Livermore, CA.
Mr. Whalen brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to Novazone, which stems from his background of over 20 years of sales and management leadership with fast-growing companies. Mr. Whalen is charged with managing Novazone's burgeoning sales, which are being driven by strong consumer demand for improved food safety and fewer chemicals in food and water products.
"Food retailers today are responding to consumer concerns about food borne diseases and chemicals used in food and water products, and they're increasingly requiring food suppliers to use safer and more effective methods for processing and storing their products," said Mr. White. "This fundamental change in the food-supply chain is driving increased demand for our unique, ozone-based solutions, which help control harmful microbes in food and water without the potentially dangerous byproducts of traditional chemicals. We are extremely pleased to have Pat join us to help manage our extraordinary growth."
Prior to joining Novazone, Mr. Whalen was the principal of Whalen Consulting, specializing in strategic consulting and the development of high-impact sales organizations for Fortune 500 companies. Before Whalen Consulting, Mr. Whalen held a variety of management positions at emerging- technology companies including nCircle, Logictier Inc., Brightstar Information Technology Group Inc., Raptor Systems Inc., Cisco Systems Inc. and MCI Telecommunications Inc.
