Giumarra launches new SugarWild blackberry program
The Giumarra Cos. has launched a new brand, SugarWild blackberries. Debuting in the marketplace this fall, the company’s exclusive SugarWild berry program represents a new generation of premium blackberries with an exceptional eating experience, including jumbo sizes unique to the blackberry category.
Now shipping in limited volumes, SugarWild is available in conventional, Jumbo SugarWild and Organic SugarWild pack styles. Attendees can meet the brand firsthand at Mercado Giumarra at this year's IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show in Anaheim, CA, and at the SugarWild display case at IFPA’s Fresh Ideas Showcase in the Anaheim Convention Center lobby.
The company's booth — No. 3373 — will pay homage to Giumarra’s Southern California roots with a Hispanic market theme. The booth will feature beverages and street tacos with both traditional and inventive toppings made with fresh produce items offered across Giumarra’s sales divisions, as well as abundant produce displays.
“Our company roots were established at the historic downtown Los Angeles produce market in 1922, and we continue to be inspired by the colorful, diverse market experiences Southern California has to offer,” said Megan Gorgisheli, vice president, marketing administration and brand for the Giumarra Cos. “This year’s booth brings that inspiration to life in a vibrant, welcoming space where we can connect with our customers, growers and fellow industry members.”

At the convention, Giumarra will also co-sponsor meeting pods and two IFPA events on Friday, Oct. 17: the Networking Breakfast and General Session from 8:15 to 9:55 a.m. and the Retail Awards Reception from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m.
