New York Apple Association names new CEO
The New York Apple Association has hired Susan Chekow Lusignan as its new CEO.
Lusignan brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, with a career defined by strategic organizational management, operational excellence and a consistent commitment to measurable outcomes. She is recognized for her ability to lead with structure and discipline, fostering effective teams and building partnerships that strengthen the organizations she serves.
Throughout her career, Lusignan has demonstrated a strong command of financial oversight, marketing communications and stakeholder engagement, along with a proven capacity to identify and secure external funding opportunities that support long-term organizational sustainability.
As CEO, Lusignan is committed to advancing NYAA’s mission through sound operational leadership, expanded consumer marketing initiatives, and the cultivation of partnerships that serve the interests of New York apple growers. Her leadership approach emphasizes clear communication, careful preparation and organizational consistency.
Members are encouraged to attend the NYAA Annual Meeting and lunch prior to the Premier Apple Forum this June for the opportunity to meet her in person.
