Neer named VP of sales and marketing at Rosemont Farms
Rosemont Farms Corp., based in Boca Raton, FL, has hired Hurley Neer to take on the role of vice president of sales and marketing.
Most recently Mr. Neer was the director of eastern vegetable sales at L&M Cos. in Raleigh, NC, where he held various management positions over the past eight years.
Mr. Neer began his produce career 15 years ago with Del Monte Fresh Produce in Coral Gables, FL, where he moved through the ranks of the organization to become the director of planning and operations for North America.
With a degree in finance from Florida International University, he has strong ties to the south Florida region.
Mr. Neer and his wife are native Floridians. "We have been very fortunate to have had an opportunity in this industry to return to Florida where our children were born and all of our family still lives. That coupled with such an exciting career opportunity makes this transition in our lives very rewarding," he said in a statement.
"I've had several opportunities over the years in this industry to learn many different aspects of the produce business -- and I'm looking forward to this new challenge of joining a dynamic management team and helping them sustain the explosive growth Rosemont Farms has achieved over the past few years, he added.
"With the addition of Hurley Neer to the Rosemont team, we are welcoming someone to the organization who will only strengthen our ability to meet the demands of our clientele, Andrew Schwartz, president of Rosemont Farms, said in the statement. "In this industry, if you are standing still you are moving backwards, and with Hurley's produce knowledge we will continue to move forward as a company.
