In celebration of National Philanthropy Day, California Giant Berry Farms announced the distribution of $53,500 to 10 nonprofit organizations via its own philanthropic initiative, The California Giant Foundation. The funds are a culmination of the fundraising efforts throughout the year—including California Giant’s Skirt Steak barbecue, a celebrated community tradition—and yearlong office-wide initiatives, spearheaded by an enthusiastic volunteer committee of California Giant employees.

Potato retail sales remained strong for the quarter from July to September 2023, up 9.5 percent from the same period a year ago. All categories of potatoes saw increases in dollar sales.

Aloha spirit defined the Party with the Partners at the Western Growers Annual Meeting. The event was outdoors at the Ilima Gardens at the Grand Hyatt Resort & Spa in Koloa, HI. The “Party under the Palms” was a fantastic opportunity for friends and colleagues to network and socialize with delicious refreshments, festive cocktails, live music while honoring loyal members and industry partners.

Dümmen Orange displayed some of its wide variety of plants as an exhibitor at the 2023 IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show in Anaheim, CA. More than 20,000 people attended the show from over 60 countries in one of largest annual shows for the floral and produce industries.
