MITCHELL, SD – This community in south-central South Dakota is known as the home of the World’s Only Corn Palace, a structure that pays homage to the town’s agricultural roots and the corn grown in the area. But on March 30, Mitchell became home to another agricultural landmark: the World’s Largest Idaho Potato Display.

The Raley’s Cos. announced the departure of President and CEO Keith Knopf and the appointment of owner and Chairman Mike Teel as CEO, a role he previously held prior to Knopf’s joining the company.

Alongside his return as CEO, Teel has promoted two experienced leaders to support the organization through this transition. Tiffanie Burkhalter has been appointed president and chief financial officer, and Jen Warner has been appointed president and chief operations officer of The Raley’s Cos.

Vidalia Sweet Produce is a trusted woman-owned farming company specializing in the production, shipping and sales of Vidalia sweet onions, as well as red and yellow onions. Operated by the leaders of Collins Family Farms with 44 years of experience, the company also handles watermelons and Vidalia sweet potatoes, though sweet onions account for 75 percent of total sales.

Sysco and Jetro Restaurant Depot have entered into a definitive agreement under which Sysco will acquire Jetro Restaurant Depot in a transformative transaction that allows Sysco to enter the high-margin, growing and resilient Cash & Carry channel. Under the terms of the agreement, the total value of the deal is approximately $29.1 billion.
