Melissa’s offering Cotton Candy grapes
Melissa’s World Variety Produce, a leading U.S. distributor of specialty and organic fresh produce based in Los Angeles, in cooperation with its growing partners in the Southern Hemisphere, is now offering Cotton Candy grapes in limited quantities throughout March. The grapes are packaged in a convenient one-pound clamshell, 10 per case.
As the name implies, the grape has a distinctive flavor that remarkably tastes like cotton candy. Developed by breeding wild grape species in California for over eight years, the Cotton Candy grape is not a genetically engineered product, rather it is the result of industry pioneers tediously, lovingly hand-pollinating different grapes for many seasons. The seedless, green to light yellow grapes burst with a cotton candy flavor that then recedes into a mild, juicy sweetness everybody seems to love.
